Bayern says Bye Bye to Ballack

German champs Bayern Munich seem to have had it with Michael Ballack. The club officially withdrew their contract offer after the Germany captain refused to sign again. Ballack has been stalling over signing a new deal at the Allianz Arena since the start of the football season with a hope of joining either Real Madrid or Manchester United on a free transfer. Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said 'We officially withdrew our offer today' at the club's annual general meeting. Rummenigge's decision came after he met with the player and was told the 29-year-old had still not decided what he wanted to do when his contract expires in June 2006. Although Rummenigge also stated that this did not necessarily mean Ballack would leave the club, but he also felt it would be in the clubs best interest to look for a replacement soon. All this makes it quite obvious that the Bundesliga champions Bayern will sell Ballack in January transfer window. I personally think he would go between 10 to 12 million pounds, considering that he would not get to play in the Champions Leagues for either Real Madrid or ManU, not that they are going really far in the competition which already has Chelsea’s name written all over the Cup.
