José Mourinho is Premiership's Best Manager

I found this article on the Official Chelsea Website, the only reason I’m putting it up is cause I just remembered I did take part in the survey about a month back. Plus it just shows how popular Chelsea (Club, Players & Manager) is worldwide.

José Mourinho is the favourite manager, and Gianfranco Zola and Frank Lampard are amongst the ten favourite players of Premiership time, says a Barclays survey of 26,000 fans from 170 countries, published yesterday, Wednesday. Mourinho clocked 28 per cent of votes as Best Manager since the inauguration of the Premier League in 1992. Sir Alex Ferguson was second with 14 per cent and Arsène Wenger third with 13 per cent.

Chelsea came fourth in global support with 11 per cent behind Man Utd (25%), Liverpool (18%) and Arsenal (15%). Frank Lampard was third behind Thierry Henry and Steven Gerrard as the most popular current player. John Terry was tenth. United had four players in the top ten. No other team apart from Chelsea had more than one. Lampard was especially popular with Italians and Germans.

Zola was fifth most popular player since the Premiership began, fractionally behind David Beckham. The top three were Eric Cantona, Henry and Alan Shearer. Zola came third in the vote from Europe alone. Lampard was tenth overall.

A whopping 98 per cent of the fans surveyed believed Chelsea will retain the Premiership trophy.
