Funny Stuff, Check it Out!!

I know this article is around 2 days old, but it’s really quite funny. So I thought I'd put it up.

A nine-year-old boy who invaded a football pitch to slide tackle a Premiership star was shown the red card - by his mum.

She has banned Everton fan Richard Dunne from going to Goodison Park to watch his heroes until further notice.

Richard, just 4ft tall, launched a two-footed tackle on Middlesbrough defender Frank Queudrue during Wednesday’s Carling Cup game.

Mum Michelle, 38, said: “I was shocked when the police rang to say what Richard had done. They gave him a good ticking off. But he’s a nice lad, he just gets over-excited at matches.”

“He’s been grounded indefinitely and I’ve not decided when he can go back to Goodison.”

Richard, who has apologised, revealed he invaded the pitch for a bet.

He said: “One of my brother’s mates bet me £20 that I couldn’t tackle better than any of the Everton players. I jumped over the barrier and ran for the nearest player. It felt great — but I know it was wrong.”

Everton have decided to take no action.

Chelsea Rise as Others Fall

A perfect weekend! Chelsea back on their winning ways, while those optimistic clubs who thought they had a chance of catching up with us, well all of them failed to take all 3 points in their respective matches.

  • Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal took a point each.
  • Charlton Athletic lost at home AGAIN!!
  • Middlesbrough trashed Manchester United 4 – 1. Ex-Chelsea player Hasselbaink, who apparently has a good record against ManU scored in the 25th min.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but if there is any Premiership club that Chelsea should worry about its Wigan Athletic. Wigan who are playing in the Premiership for the first time and have a stadium with a capacity of 25,000 only, are surprisingly in second (9 points behind Chelsea and a game in hand.) What’s scary is they have beaten us when it comes to least goals conceded, and currently have the best defensive record.

Mourinho has branded Lampard as the world's best player, Lampard second goal against Blackburn was also his 100th League goal and his 60th for Chelsea. This brings his tally to 11 for the season (10 in the League.) Frank is currently the Premiership’s top scorer.

WAY TO GO LAMPARD!!!!

Lampard has also now played 157th consecutive Premiership game, the record currently held by keeper David James (159 games.) Anyone wants to bet whether the record is gonna be broken by the Premiership’s top scorer get in touch with me.

Cruyff....STFU!!!

For those of you’ll who don’t know the great Mr. Johan Cruyff let me brief you a bit on the so called “Legend.”

Played for Ajax and Barcelona. Won the European Footballer of the year award in 1971, 73 and 74. 48 International Caps (Holland.) Was in charge of Barcelona between 1988 and 1996 and won four successive titles and the European Cup in 1992 and I do believe he lost a 4-0 to AC Milan in the 1994 European Cup final.

Cruyff is one who called Chelsea and Mourinho non-entertaining; he also claims he would be happy to teach Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho how to play well - just like he did at Ajax in the 70s or Barcelona in the 90s. Mourinho has responded by inviting the Dutchman to teach him how to become a better manager.

Cruyff quotes “I would happily teach him not just about winning and playing well, but also about winning respect from people, and that is more important than the titles you win.

But it's better that I don't teach him how to lose a final by 4-0. This happens when you have a very long career, a career that began at the age of 17 and that continued until the age of 40 as a player and then other years as a coach.

At his age, he has sufficient time to learn how to win and how to lose. To earn the respect of the whole world is a different story.”

Mourinho responded to this by saying “Since 1996, he (Cruyff) refuses to step into the new football reality. Football is waiting for him to be a teacher. I want him to come forward and teach me. I humbly ask for it. I want him to help me to be a better coach because I don't want to stop learning.

But he cannot teach me to be national champion because I already am three times. He cannot teach me how to win cups and Super Cups because I already did. He cannot teach me to conquer the UEFA Cup because I also have it. He cannot teach me to become a European champion either.”

Cruyff I speak for all Chelsea fans when I say, I think you have had your 15 seconds of fame (see I put you up on my blog too.) Now do us a favor and shut up.

4 - 0 Boring Boring Chelsea ;-)

Chelsea finally started scoring in the Champions League. Before the Real Betis game Chelsea had scored only one goal in 4 games:
0 – 0 Draw vs. Liverpool
1 – 0 Loss vs. Liverpool
1 – 0 Win vs. Anderlecht
0 – 0 Draw vs. Liverpool
To think about it, its Liverpool that play’s boring games against Chelsea. However the English Champs did make up for it yesterday by trashing Real Betis 4 – 0 at the Bridge. The first 20 minutes were kind of scary, as the Spanish new comers were on the attack; they even had a shot from a corner cleared off the line by Makelele. Well after that spell the Champs were on fire, goals coming from:
Drogba 23rd Minute (Good pass by Essien.)
Carvalho 43rd Minute (After the goalkeeper dropped Lampard’s curling free-kick.)
Cole 58th Minute (Amazing goal, though he should have passed to Crespo who was open.)
Crespo 63rd Minute (Assist by Wright-Phillips’ the best you’ll ever see in a game.)

Chelsea’s new signing Diarra did come on to sub Makelele in the 75th minute. The under 21 French international does have some skill. He was bought in to take the place of Chelsea’s defensive mid-fielder, and I must say, he does play the part well, they even look alike.

No FA charge for Essien

The Football Association have announced Chelsea's Michael Essien will face no further action over his tackle on Tal Ben Haim during the game with Bolton on Saturday. Referee Rob Styles issued Essien with a yellow card at the time and agreed to look at the incident again on video, after the Bolton manager was crying about the tackle for hours after the match. However Referee Rob Styles did admit that he would have shown Michael Essien a red card had he seen the incident from another angle. Like that would have made a real big difference to the match outcome, at the most Chelsea would have won 4 – 1, instead of 5 – 1.

The FA did approach FIFA to ascertain whether any further disciplinary action should be taken. FIFA informed the FA that in such cases the referee's decision is final and cannot be changed retrospectively.

No Hope For Dope

Middlesbrough's defender Abel Xavier has been suspended from all football by world governing body FIFA. The Portuguese defender failed the drugs test after last month's UEFA Cup game in Xanthi. The 32 year-old Portuguese international is likely to issue a statement tomorrow morning, when he would have to answer the most important question - namely, what banned substance has he tested positive for? Middlesbrough issued a brief statement to confirm Xavier produced a urine sample which returned a positive result after the September 29 second leg of Boro's first-round UEFA Cup match against their Greek opponents.

The FA is targeting a top Premiership player who is suspected of using banned blood boosting drugs. The news comes only days after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger voiced his concerns that the banned hormone EPO (erythropoietin) had been unwittingly administered to some of the foreign players who had arrived at his club. A number of players in recent times has be accused of using banned substance, Adrian Mutu (ex Chelsea player, now with Juventus) tested positive for using cocaine while Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand was suspended for eight months after he failed to take a drug test.

"Blue" Hot Chelsea

I’m back and so was Chelsea after Internationals with a BANG!! Bolton visited Stamford Bridge and were on cloud 9 when they scored in the 4th minute. The early goal did them no good as Chelsea put in 5 goals in the 2nd half itself (4 of them in 9 minutes.) Drogba opened the scoring, he then set up a goal for Lampard with an amazing back flip. Lampard as usually always good from free kicks curved the ball right of the wall into the goal, and then returned the favor by assisting Drogba from a corner. Though all credit goes to Drogba, beautiful technique! Eidur Gudjohnsen, Chelsea's oldest striker added a fifth later on. Chelsea have a 9 point lead over second place Tottenham Hotspurs and a 10 point lead over ManU (they have a game in hand.) Arsenal on the other hand suffered their 3rd loss of the season, losing 2 -1 away to West Bromwich Albion.

Chelsea have now extended their unbeaten run to 38, which is one full EPL season if you think about it, and are on a 9 game winning streak. The record for most wins in a row is 11 by Tottenham Hotspurs. The Blues have now scored 9 goals in 2 games (4 against Liverpool + 5 Bolton) letting in only 2. Who ever says the Champs are boring has got to be out of his mind. Chelsea’s next game is at home against Real Betis. If Real Betis have anything to learn from Bolton’s mistake it’s got to be “NEVER SCORE AN EARLY GOAL AGAINST THE BLUE’S.”

Be quite Reds........You know we are the BEST!!!

That was some win.....especially after a 0 - 0 draw just a few days back in the Champions league. 4 - 1 I’m sure no one could have predicted that score. I being a highly optimistic Chelsea fan was hoping for a 2 - 0 Chelsea win but a 4 - 1 just blew me away. Everyone expected a tight defensive game, but it was nothing like that. Drogba played some game.....too bad he has no goals to show for it, but he was according to me one of the best players on the field. Geremi has two goals against his name so far, and the best thing is that he has played only 2 games for Chelsea......WAY TO GO Geremi (Our New 3rd Striker.)

Liverpool and the rest of the Epl teams........be afraid....be very afraid.....if Chelsea can do what they did to Liverpool @ Anfield....without Crespo, Gudjohnsen and Shaun Wright-Phillips, well just imagine the damage they can do with em.

Nistelrooy wants out too

Ruud van Nistelrooy's agent Rodger Linse has hinted, the time may have come for Ruud to leave ManU. The reason could be nothing but Man United’s performance in all leagues. Last year ManU failed to bring in a single cup to Old Trafford (though I personally think they should have won the FA Cup), they have finished 3rd for the last 2 years in the EPL and were knocked out in the Champions league in the very 1st round last year (losing to AC Milan both home and away.)

Well I guess Nistelrooy and his agent think its about time he provided his services to a club with a realistic chance of winning cups. ManU seem to be going through hell, with Roy Keane wanting an exit from Old Trafford and now this. One thing for sure, if these two leave many more will follow. I dare say, we might even see Sir Alex Ferguson call the quits. Could this be end to the mighty ManU? tension did seem to rise when Mr. Malcolm Glazer took over. I know its quite early, but I do think ManU have any shot at all at winning the EPL (Comon West Ham have a better chance.) Well I guess we will have to wait a bit more to see which ManU player is gonna shock the world with his plans to leave ManU. Ohhh for those Real Madrid come ManU fan (According to me all those who support ManU, do support Real Madrid and vice-verse) there is a good chance of him moving to Real, so I guess you’ll have nothing to lose.
